Carriers are attaching CG 40 47 and its siblings at renewal — one line in the forms schedule, on a document that otherwise looks identical to last year. Book Scan reads your whole stack of renewal PDFs on your own computer, tells you which clients picked one up, and drafts the notice. Free. Nothing is uploaded.
No account. No card. Fifty renewals take about a minute.
ISO’s three generative-AI exclusions took effect 1 January 2026 and carriers are attaching them at renewal, not at inception. Carrier forms like Berkley’s “absolute” AI exclusion are following on management-liability lines. None of it changes the premium or the limits on the dec page.
Coverage A and Coverage B. A chatbot’s answer, AI-drafted content, an employee quietly using ChatGPT — claims “arising out of” generative AI can fall outside the policy entirely. Full page
Advertising injury only, or products/completed operations only. Exactly where AI-generated marketing and AI-assisted design show up. CG 40 48 · CG 35 08
“In any way involving” the use, deployment, or development of AI — including a board’s decisions about AI and an AI resume screener in a hiring claim. Full page
When a claim touching an AI tool is declined, the client’s question is why nobody told them. Book Scan gives you a dated record of what you checked, when, and what you sent. Be the agent who told them.
Book Scan is the free tool you run yourself, in your browser. Book Report is the subscription where we run it every month and keep watching carrier filings for you. It is being built now and is not for sale yet.

AI dispatch, route optimisation and driver-monitoring tools are everywhere in the cab. A CGL renewal with CG 40 47 attached leaves any claim “arising out of” those tools outside Coverage A. Auto forms haven’t followed yet — the scan still shows every new form on each renewal.
AI estimating, AI-assisted design and AI-generated documentation shipped with the job put CG 35 08 (products/completed operations) in play the moment the work is finished.
A website chatbot, AI-written marketing, AI images in ads. That is Coverage B territory — where CG 40 48 lands. Dental, legal, real estate and agency clients are the ones most likely to be using these tools without telling you.
D&O, EPL and fiduciary renewals from carriers using an “absolute” AI exclusion: a hiring claim involving an AI screener, or a shareholder claim about AI governance, can fall outside the tower.
No AI exclusion forms on these lines so far — we’ll say so plainly. Add last year’s policies and Book Scan becomes a straight “what forms changed on each renewal” pass across the book, which is the question your clients ask anyway.
