Drop this year’s renewals. See every client whose policy picked up an AI exclusion.

One pass over the whole book. Book Scan reads each renewal on your own computer, pulls the forms schedule, flags the AI-exclusion endorsements carriers are attaching in 2026, and hands you a table of who is affected — with a plain-English notice ready to send each client. Add last year’s policies too and it shows every form that is new or gone on each renewal.

Your clients’ documents never leave this device. There is no server behind this page. Load it, switch off your Wi‑Fi, and run the scan — it works exactly the same.

The scanner

Add the renewals, then scan

PDFs with real text (the ones carriers email you). Scans and photos are reported as unreadable so you can check them by hand. Fifty policies take about a minute on a normal laptop.

1

This year’s renewals

Required. Select many at once, or drag a whole folder in.

2

Last year’s policies

Optional. Add these and every renewal also gets a “new since last year” column.

Matched pairs

Renewals were matched to last year’s policies by named insured and file name. Fix any that are wrong before scanning.

Want us to run this for you every month — and watch for new forms?

Book Report is the done-for-you version: your renewals scanned as they arrive, renewal-date reminders, alerts when a carrier files a new AI exclusion, and the notices drafted for you. It is not open yet. Join the list and you’ll be first in, at the founding rate.

How it works

Three steps. Nothing to install, nothing to upload.

Drop the renewals

Select this year’s renewal PDFs — ten or two hundred. Add last year’s policies if you have them handy; the scanner pairs them up by named insured and file name.

Scan

Each PDF is read on your computer. The scanner pulls every form code from the forms schedule and declarations, checks it against the Exclusion Index, and looks for AI-exclusion wording it doesn’t recognise yet.

Send the notices

You get a book-level table sorted by who needs a call first, a CSV for your agency system, and a plain-English notice per affected client — signed as you, ready to paste into an email.

Coming next

Book Report: the scan, done for you, every month.

Book Scan is the free tool you run yourself. Book Report is the subscription where we run it — and keep watching. It is being built now and is not for sale yet. The list is free and gets you the founding rate when it opens.

  • Renewals scanned as they arrive — forward the carrier email, get the result back.
  • Renewal-date reminders 60 and 30 days out, per client.
  • An alert when a carrier on your book files a new AI-exclusion form, before it shows up on a renewal.
  • Client notices drafted in your voice, per line of business.
  • Commercial and personal lines — trucking, contractors, auto, motorcycle, whatever your book carries.

Free. No card. We’ll email you once when Book Report opens and nothing else.

Honest limits

What Book Scan can and can’t do

It reads schedules, not minds

The scanner finds form codes and AI-exclusion wording in the text. It does not know whether a form matters for a given client. That is your call as the licensed agent — the tool just makes sure you get to make it.

Scanned PDFs are reported, not read

If a renewal is a scan or a photo there is no text to read. It shows up as “unreadable” in the table so you can check it by hand.

Carrier forms vary

Every form on the AI Exclusion Tracker (ISO, Hartford, Great American, Utica National, Berkley) is recognised by number. Other carrier forms are caught by their wording — “artificial intelligence exclusion”, “generative AI” — and flagged for you to read. Codes we don’t recognise are listed, not judged.

It is not advice

Nothing here is insurance, legal, or financial advice, and the client notices are drafts for you to edit and own. New to the forms? Read the plain-English guide.
